About Us
Sure, it’s not the most glorious way to make a living, but glory isn’t what we were looking for when we started EIO Waste Solutions and Recycling. When we looked at dumpsters for rent we saw opportunity — but not in the way you might think. We come from a family of entrepreneurs who believed in an honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work, and in treating customers with respect, the way we would want to be treated. But as you surely know, hard work does not always mean a steady income. That is where we found ourselves in the early ’90s, running a paving business with its inevitable seasonality. Beyond simply supporting our young family, we were looking for a way to give back to our community, our church and the mission organizations our church supported. This was the opportunity we were seeking.
What started with a little risk and a lot of faith — investing in property, trucks and dumpsters — has grown into a blossoming business. Over the last 25+ years we’ve grown by developing relationships and providing best-in-class service with integrity and the family values instilled in us. Today we proudly serve residents, businesses and municipalities with curbside garbage and recycling pickup, trash drop-off at our transfer station, and roll-off dumpsters.

Our Story
- 1995 — EIO is founded. The business launches with roll-off dumpsters.
- 2002 — Expansion to business waste. Waste removal for businesses via front-loading dumpsters.
- 2002 — Expansion to residential curbside pickup. EIO acquires the equipment to begin curbside garbage pickup for Back Mountain residents.
- 2004 — Incorporation and acquisition. EIO is incorporated and expands curbside pickup through the acquisition of C&K Sanitation.
- 2005 — Acquisition of Kerpovich & Valley Sanitation. Further expansion of EIO’s curbside garbage pickup business.
- 2013 — Sale of the front-load business. EIO makes the strategic decision to sell the front-loading commercial dumpster business to stay focused on residential garbage pickup and roll-off dumpsters.
- 2019 — Junk removal. EIO begins offering junk removal to serve customers who cannot remove large volumes of waste or large items themselves.
- 2021 — Construction of the transfer station. To better serve the area’s residents, businesses and municipalities, EIO builds the area’s only transfer station, capable of accepting 250,000 lbs of waste daily.
